How to add and remove contacts

When you're visiting the contents of another user, in the upper part of the sidebar you can find the button "Follow updates". If you click on this button you will be able to add the user as a friend, an online friend, a collegue, a co-worker, etc. If you want you can skip this step. Once you have added the user, their contents will appear on your homepage.

In order to remove the user and not to see their content, you have to click on the button "Following", and in the next step you will have the option to remove the user. You can see the button on this screenshot. Top

How to filter the contents of the people who I follow

When you add a user to follow their updates you will be able to classify them into different categories (friends, online friends, acquaintances, co-workers, colleages and family members).

Frequently, you will only wish to receive updates from one category of contact. Using the checkboxes on the sidebar of your home page ("Filter updates" link), you can mark which categories you wish to receive updates from. Updates from those left unchecked will consequently not appear on your homepage. The new changes will be updated automatically.Top

What are and how to make replies?

If you are publishing a text, video or image which you are directing to a particular user, by writing their username in the following format @username your post will appear in their replies box. You can check all of your received replies by clicking the replies link on your header. If you wish to receive replies from any user or restrict your replies to your following contacts, you can refer to the settings menu and select your preferences. Top

Private messages

Clicking on the Inbox link at the sidebar of your home, will enable you to send and receive private messages from your contacts. You can only send private messages to people if you are both following each other. Top

What is QR Code and what is it used for?

A QR Code is a matrix code (or two-dimensional bar code). Although initially used for tracking parts in vehicle manufacturing, QR Codes are now used in a much broader context. They span from both commercial tracking applications to convenience-oriented applications which are aimed at mobile phone users.

In YouAre, each post has its own QR Code. In order to read the QR Code you need to click on this icon icono qrcode, located at the end of the post.

If you click on the icon, a new window will open. Now you will be able to read the QR Code using you mobile device. The following video shows a short demonstration.
